Why do I leak?
1. After prostate surgery called STRESS URINARY INCONTINENCE.
2. Leakage can occur during uncontrolled bladder spasms called URGE URINARY INCONTINENCE. This is common in men with underlying history of stroke or neurological diseases such as Diabetes Mellitus or Parkinson's disease.
3. Leakage can occur from poor emptying of the bladder or urinary retention called OVERFLOW INCONTINENCE. Underlying poor bladder contraction or obstruction from enlarged prostate, or BPH, can contribute to overflow incontinence.
Sometimes, a combination of these conditions can exist.
